what are file management tools and disk management tools

 File Management Tools -

A file manager is a program that provides the facility to create, copy, update or delete files on the programmer's disk.  A file is a collection of information that is provided by the programmer.  It is stored on disk as a single entity and can be identified by a name.  The files directory is stored on the disk, which is maintained by the file manager.  The directory itself is also stored on disk.  The directory contains the name of the files, the size of the files, the date and time, and the unused memory capacity of the disk.

Different Types of File Management Tools Whenever we think of file management tools, it is probably the main tool that comes to mind in Windows Explorer.  Explorer is probably the most widely used file management tool.  The use of file management tools other than Explorer depends on the number of files and data we use every day.  Some of the following main tools we can use :

1. Alternatives to Explorer Apart from Explorer, there are other similar file management tools in the market such as Netscape Navigator, Mozilla Firefox, etc.  For example, with VCOM Power Desk Pro, we can control the FTP site (if it is in a local folder) better than Explorer.

It can work with more than 30 file formats along with organizing the contents of directories and allows to display more than 12 documents at once.  Another unprofessional tool is Free Commander, which provides the user with custom use options.

 2. Another drawback of Meta-Organizers Explorer is that how the file is organized in it depends on its physical location in the file system.  Another program, Advanced File Organizer, performs meta-organization because it first creates a catalog of files that shows what and where the file is (whether on a local hard drive or in removable media).

Then instead of searching in the file system, it is searched in the catalogue, which is much faster.  With this AFO, we can also find metadata, such as MP3 ID3 tags.

 3. Automatic File Organizers Many administrators want an application that organizes and categorizes files on certain internal criteria (such as name, date, metadata).

Some software is similar, such as Series Sorter, which initially sorted image directories (which have a very organized way of naming), but can be used for other types of files as well.  It does not recognize the metadata of program files and EXIF image data - but broadly we can see it as a property.

 4. Indexing Services Indexing services read all the contents (data) of the drive and index it (sequentially from A to Z), so that we can find the data very quickly next time.  If we want to find files on a particular basis by making the file system smaller, then this is the best way.  In this we do not have to worry about which data is kept where.  Two main features are available for this Google Desktop Search and Window Desktop Search.

 (c) Disk Management - Similar to File Manager, it is used to keep the location of the disk organized and for free space (space) management tasks, that is, how do we use the disk space for programs and data, as well as  Records of free space to be made available for future allocation.  It is also used to troubleshoot disk-related problems.

Different Types of Disk Management Tools

There are many tools available for managing the disk, some of the major tools are as follows

 (1) 4Diskclean Gold If the disk of your computer is full of unnecessary and junk files, then it slows down our computer.  It happens .  Such files also cause problems to the main applications (software) by taking up a lot of useful space.  4Diskclean software makes the system look like new by completely cleaning it.  It deletes all unnecessary files, temporary data, old backups, duplicate files and DLLs, cache memory and history files of web browser etc.

( 2 ) CD Storage CD Storage is a powerful off drive CD / DVD discs storage and management software for all Windows platforms. CD Storage loading files by name and size, converting time, metadata of files

( (3) Diskeeper Disk fragmentation causes the computer to slow down and at the same time it also gives other problems. Diskeeper is a defragmenter, which works in the background and problems of fragmentation.  Removes it before giving it.

 (4) Partition Magic can partition the hard disk through this, so that this drive can be managed better. The computer considers each partition as a separate drive,  It automatically gives the name of a letter ( A , C , DE ….. ) and helps to use the hard disk according to the user and increase the performance of the disk.

 (5) Space Guard This Windows NT and  Provides administrators like the disk-quota management tool of Windows-2000  That is to determine and inspect the space (space) given to each user.  It also allows for a centralized view of all users’ disk-space control, even if they are on different servers.

( 6) WinZip WinZip is a handy zip and unzip utility for Windows, which may provide internal support for popular Internet file formats such as ZIP TAR , Uuencode , Xxencode , BinHex , MIME and Unix compressed files etc.

the  Compression Tools – Compression refers to the reduction in the size of the data, so that it can save more data in less memory or transmit more data in less time. For data transmission, either only the data content or the whole transmission

The unit (which includes the header) is compressed, the task depends on many factors. Content compression is very simple. It removes all the extra space characters, the string of repeated characters  Use of one character in place, use of short beat strings instead of repeated characters, etc.

Is included.  This type of compression reduces the size of the text file by up to 50% of its original size.  Compression is done by a program that uses a formula or algorithm.  This formula or algorithm decides how the compression or decompression of the data will take place.

Whenever we send or receive information on the Internet and use large text files, then all this work is usually done in the form of ZIP GZIP or any other compressed format.

Winzip is the most popular compression program on Windows.  Graphic image file formats are compressed to the maximum, as they are very large in size.  There are two types of graphic image compression.  The first is Lossy (in which some data is lost) and the second is Lossless (in which the actual information can be obtained completely).

In image compression, the size of the graphic file is reduced while maintaining the quality and reality of that image.  By reducing the size of this image file, we can store more and more files in less disk or memory space.

Due to this, transmission of these files over the Internet or download from web-pages also takes less time.  There are many ways to compress image files, such as JPEG format and GIF format for the Internet, two major compressed image file formats are available.  The JPEG method is used to compress photographs and the GIF method is used to compress line arts and other geometric shapes.  Fractals and weblets are used in other image compression techniques.
